This is our main Sunday service at Holy Trinity and as you arrive you will probably hear the bells being rung. As you make your way through the doors you will be greeted by someone who will give you a hymn book, and order of service, and hopefully a smile! They will be able to answer any questions you may have about the service and what to do with children etc.
There is a creche area in the main body of the church which can be used at all times during the servcie, and there is a quieter room in the church tower which is also usually available. We usually have colouring, a craft and a video for children. The exception is the 1st Sunday of the month when we all worship together in our informal family service.
There are usually five hymns and our choir helps to lead our sung worship. In our prayers we normally give thanks. We also pray for the world, for our country, local needs, for those who suffer, and of course for personal needs. Holy Communion is almost always celebrated. If you normally receive communion in your home church you are welcome to receive. However all are welcome to come forward for a blessing. Of course you are free to remain seated - please do not feel under pressure.
Refreshments are served afterwards. This is an opportunity to talk to the ministers if you have any questions, of if you would like to ask for prayer about something. The service normally lasts 1 hrs 10 mins however except the Family Service which is normally less than an hour.
We do pray that those who attend leave our time of worship together feeling closer to God than when coming in. You would be very welcome to join us.
